Safeway Excavations sues Taylor Wimpey for £205,000

House builder Taylor Wimpey has been asked to pay ВЈ205,000 to a groundworks firm that claims it has not been paid for works from as far back as 2006.

Safeway Excavations is suing the firm over works it undertook at projects in Humberstone, Leicester, Oakley Vale, Corby and Hilton, Derby in 2006 and 2007.

In a writ filed at the Technology and Construction Court, Safeway claims it reached an agreement with Taylor Wimpey over the unpaid accounts in April 2008.

A settlement agreed between lawyers stated that payment should be made no later than 7 May 2008.

Safeway is now suing for the ВЈ205,000 as well as ВЈ1,213.15 in interest.
