The deal involves refurbishing or rebuilding 16 of the borough’s secondary and secondary special schools. It also includes £22m of ICT investment.
The three contractors will now enter competitive dialogue with the council and its schools.
Two will proceed to the next phase in February 2010, and produce plans for two sample schools, Southfields Community College and Burntwood School, plus ICT investment across all the schools.
The winning bidder is expected to be announced in September 2010.
