Lights out as Cat excavators demolish Enfield lighting factory - VIDEO

An old GE lighting factory is demolished by two high reach excavators in Enfield, London.

A Cat 385 and Cat 345 were involved in the project contracted to demolition specialist Armac Group.

The most challenging phase of the project came 6 months in when it was time for the seven storey GE lighting office building to come down.

Positioned within metres of the A10 main road connecting Enfield to Junction 25 of the M25, demolition of this structure required a careful approach. As a result, conventional methods could not be used due to the risk of falling debris hitting a passing car.
