New aircraft hangar erected at Biggin Hill airport - VIDEO

Reid Steel has hired two mobile cranes to erect the main, 90 metre clear span trusses for a new aircraft hangar at historic Biggin Hill Airport.

Hewden provided the two operated 100-tonne mobile cranes as well as five 80-foot mobile access platforms and a 13-metre telehandler were involved in the operation which began in January 2009.

The lift had needed to be cancelled several times due to bad weather before it could be completed successfully.
